First time in London. Day 1. First stop: Big Ben. We visit it, we admire it, but do we know who created it? No, we DON'T know DENT.

Giving names such as "Minister" and "Parliament" collection, DENT, the famous watch and clockmakers firm continue its watchmanking tradition since 18th century. The company which created Big Ben continues since today to surprise people who have a passion about watchmaking.
The 21st century found the company under a new scheme and in 2008 DENT launched its first new range of gentleman’s wristwatches for over 40 years, watches that according to the company combine contemporary technology with the traditions of excellence, craftsmanship and reliability.

"We first made our Great Wheel Skeleton clocks for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, which we presented to her in November 2007, and can be seen in the Garden Room at Buckingham Palace", says the spokeperson of the company.
For the history, the company established in 1814 by Edward J. Dent, the company embraced the Victorian fervour for technological innovation and created precision chronometers to navigate the Royal Navy and guide some of the most intrepid explorers on their voyages.
